Restoration of the Eskbank footbridge

Further work has been taking place at Eskbank, with the removal of the Eskbank Footbridge. The bridge was once used to adjoin the two platforms at the former Eskbank Station but has been out of use for a number of years.

The bridge was removed  on 5 July 2012 and donated to the Waverley Route Heritage Association located in Whitrope where it will be restored by a team of volunteers for eventual reuse on the Border Union Railway.
