Official name for Tweedbank staff building unveiled

Just over one month since the opening of the Borders Railway, the official name for the ScotRail staff building at Tweedbank was unveiled by the two boys who named it.

Cameron Chapman and Cody Gray pulled away a red curtain to reveal the ‘Eildon View’ sign, a name chosen by the managing director of the ScotRail Alliance, Phil Verster, after a competition was run with pupils from Tweedbank Primary School to name the building.

Cody and Cameron chose the name ‘Eildon View’, and both boys won a free family pass for travel anywhere on the ScotRail network.

David Campbell, ScotRail’s driver manager for the Borders Railway, said: “It was great to have Cody and Cameron come to Eildon View to officially unveil the building name.

“The boys did such a great job and we were all very happy to have them along to present them with their prizes!”
