Borders Railway Line Up For Third Summer Events Programme
People living throughout the Borders and Midlothian will have their chance to come and meet with the Borders Railway project team at a series of events and gala days throughout the summer.
The events programme, undertaken by the project team for the third year running, will ensure that local people can drop by and receive updates about the progress of construction of the new railway, as well as see up to date plans and photos.
The Borders Railway project tent will be at the following events this summer:
Saturday 14th June Newtongrange Gala Day
Saturday 21st June Gorebridge Gala Day
Sunday 22nd June Braw Lads Gathering Sports Day, Galashiels
Saturday 12th July Dalkeith Agricultural Show
Friday/ Saturday 25th -26th July Border Union Agricultural Show
Saturday 16th August Stowed Out Festival, Stow
Commenting on the summer schedule, Craig Bowman, senior communications manager for Network Rail, said:
“We hope that many people will take the opportunity to drop by the Borders Railway tent at one of the great summer events in their area. There is a tremendous amount of activity going on along the whole length of the railway, so it’s a great time to come and find out more.”
