Borders Railway Announces Additional Drop-In for Fountainhall

Following an exceptional turnout to the first six meetings, Network Rail has announced an additional community drop-in at Fountainhall on 11th December.

This additional drop-in will closely follow on from ten other meetings taking place across Midlothian and the Scottish Borders to provide residents with more information about the forthcoming Borders Railway.

The drop-ins are an opportunity for people along the route to view project plans and speak to members of the delivery team ahead of the construction programme starting in early 2013.

The Borders Railway team has reached the half-way stage of the community drop-in programme with the following events still to take place:

  • 04 December – 4-8pm – Tweedbank Community Centre, TD1 3RT
  • 05 December – 4-8pm – Gorebridge Leisure Centre, EH23 4TX
  • 06 December – 3-7pm – Edinburgh College, Dalkeith, EH22 3FR
  • 10 December – 4-8pm – Newtongrange Library, EH22 4LG
  • 11 December – 4-8pm – Fountainhall Village Hall, TD1 2SU

Further meetings will be scheduled next year once more details are available about the construction schedule.
